FIC is tertiary level specialized autonomous institution of Pakistan for cardiac diseases. The institute started its journey on Tuesday 13th November 2007. It is functioning under the provision of Punjab Medical and Health Institute ACT-2003 and rules made their under. It aims to provide the best possible cardiac diagnostic and treatment facilities to the people of Faisalabad and other adjoining areas and also wants to be the referral center for the central Punjab and adjacent areas. At the moment, it is offering post-graduate and Doctoral programs in the field of Cardiology.

Eligibility Criteria
- MBBS from a recognized institute is required for admission in MS Cardiac Surgery & MD Cardiology
- One year house job from a recognized teaching institute is required for admission in MS Cardiac Surgery
- One year house job with at least six month in particular discipline is required for admission in MD Cardiology
- One year experience in particular specialty or Internal Medicine or Allied Medical discipline in the given order of proforma is also required for admission in MD Cardiology
- UHS entry test or interview is also required for admission in MS Cardiac Surgery & MD Cardiology
